Being a Stay At Home Mom

Being a stay at home mom is actually hard. It goes the same to the working mom too.

I am here not to judge any of mom out there neither to embarrass anyone. I just want to express my feelings about being a stay at home mom.

I was optioned to quit my job when I discovered that I was three or two months pregnant. As a sales advisor, I find it so hard to deal with customers every day. I was always getting mad with the customers, especially for male customers. Almost every morning I'd suffered from the chronic urinary tract infection.

I thought by quitting my job, I will survive in carrying my baby in peace. Somehow, after delivering my baby, I felt so lonely day by day until today. So I watched on YouTube about being a mom is actually lonely even though I've been surrounded by my families and friends.

Let me list out why I was feeling so lonely by being a mom:-
  1. I lost my privacy.
  2. Being around for 24 hours in order to take care of the baby was extremely exhausted.
  3. It was actually frustrated when I cooked for her and yet she refused to eat them.
  4. I lost my sense of balance of who am I.
  5. I need to take care of each other feelings in order to accept and not to accept their opinions in raising my baby.
  6. I felt so left out when some people tend to tell me something that I wish I never listen.
  7. Sometimes, I feel like no one ever trusted my ability to raise my baby (just because of the way I dress myself, I listen to Avril Lavigne, my urban lifestyle, and the most annoying thing is that some people expected me to raise my child just the way they did to their children).
  8. I can do things by myself, but I needed help too (in some cases if you would have asked me politely).
  9. I am the mom to my baby and I really wished people around me are fully aware of this fact (meaning, any decision about my child, what to feed her, how to feed her, or something like, what kind of diaper is best for her, or even her outfit, please consult her mom first and stop being like you are the 'super mom' for my baby just because she accepted you in her life, she did not cry for me when I was not around) - unless, IF I EVER ASKED FOR YOUR HELP.
  10. Stop comparing between you and me just because you had your baby first, or you own more than one child.
  11. Get a life and stop judging how I raised my child.
  12. Never, ever compared your childhood with mine, please.
  13. Why is it so hard for people around to accept me for who I am instead of treating me like "you should do this to your child", "my child eats anything you give", "what? your child is a picky eater? that's ridiculous" (may I say something terrible? I am not marrying your husband and the fact that my womb is cozier than yours, and the fact that I was not in your bed while you were having sexual intercourse with your hubby, so please, stop talking like you were here 24 hours with my child and pretending that you knew her better than me). WE ARE GENETICALLY DIFFERENT and I hope you realized this.
  14. Stop saying that we are on the same page and we are actually NOT.
  15. I need a break like being in a hot tub for an hour, listening to the deepest silent sound of the hot water and being away for a while from the real world. - this is my type of vacation, and I don't have to travel overseas just to calm my mind. A nice soaking in a hot tub will do for me. Plus, a hotel with free breakfast? I'm totally ON! - make it a buffet breakfast, please.
  16. I am not you, and you are not me, remember this.
  17. People who enjoy to compare themselves with me was actually jealous of who I am. HAHA.
  18. I have my own tribe and some people just don't get it they pretend to be like who I am but in fact, it was the most annoying thing ever.
  19. Be yourself.
  20. I was born to stand out, not TO FIT IN.
  21. Unless you were watching HOME ALONE, THE PARENT TRAP, MONKEY TROUBLE, DEAD ALIVE, when you were kids, then, we are on the same page! If not, just forget it. I watched Bananas and Pyjamas for breakfast! LOL.
  22. Get a life.
  23. Get a life.
  24. Get a life.
  25. I am Sharifah Mastura and I am the mother of Layla, no matter what. Respect this fact forever.
  26. I missed ice-skating. ❤

So, goodnight to me. I think I had made myself clear that being a stay at home mom is actually challenging.

However, I couldn't really imagine how to let go of her on her first day of kindergarten! Geez, am I a clingy mom or what.
