Five Years of Friendship

Universiti Teknologi MARA, Shah Alam, Malaysia.

I still remember the day when my application for pursuing my study in Bachelor of Legal Studies had been accepted. I was working in a legal firm during that time and I had finally realized that legal field was actually my thing. :p

It was when my colleague showed me the advertisement where this university did offered courses for working people. I had never planned to study anyway. Somehow, when my former boss did offered me a scholarship, I was so happy and felt like I was so valuable. LOL. In fact, I was such a loser. HAHA.

It was quite funny to attend classes at such 'an old age'. Now, I am in Part 11 (11th semester) out of 10 semester actually. Being a part time student was quite fun. It was extremely different when I was doing my Foundation in Law previously. Full time student tend to be silent in classes most of the time but learning with the working students was totally different. There were so many issues to be discussed and I really enjoyed attending all the lectures due to the fact that, both lecturers and students did shared the theory and practical lessons mostly for those who were related to that particular subjects.

Before I grew older, I want to carve some of my memories in here just to remind me that life was actually more interesting when I had the chance to be inspired by people around that I could never imagined to be with for almost five years. We had been through all the thick and thin together in those years. I was quite sad for being unable to complete it in time but, being sick for a year was such a good excuse to extend my semester. :(

Nah~ It's okay. Life must go on. I just have to enjoy the ride.

Honestly, I could never imagined on how am I going to make it possible as I am currently pregnant. LOL. I have to take a deep breath and...make a wise choice. I am still deciding my subjects to be registered soon for this current semester. Let me see...

  1. Land Law I - tough enough
  2. Land Law II - next semester of course
  3. Insolvency II - quite tough
  4. Law of Torts II - my major weakness!
  5. English Language Appreciation
  6. Mandarin Language III - next semester as well
  7. Environmental Law (or any elective subject offer)
So yeah, in total I have three core courses and four elective courses to be completed.

Let's just forget about it for a moment and just enjoy the ride. I can do this. Hope so.

Gonna miss them a lot.

(Yang lawak tu, daripada aku kurus, gemok, kurus, sekarang dah gemok balik, masih lagi tak habis study. Ada boyfriend, single, membujang, bertunang, berkahwin dan sekarang nak beranak dah...pun masih tak habis study lagi. Apolah aku ni. Yelah, kos undang-undang Pengajian Luar Kampus kan makan masa 5 tahun...)

Till then, goodbye.

Pregnancy Reading Checklist

First time mother.

I came across the initial 'FTM' during my online readings about pregnancy and stuffs. It was a term  used for First Time Mom.

In my previous post, I did mentioned that I had started my reading and research on pregnancy in which I could projected an examination questions for it. It was not a joke and I really did my reading on pregnancy. Since I never thought of pregnancy, I had better prepared for this one and I knew that the struggle was real.

Honestly, I never interested in babies until the day I had been confirmed pregnant. The first thing I'd done once I knew that I am pregnant - was thinking and trying to accept the fact that I am pregnant. I even googled for the term 'pregnancy' itself!

It was quite funny when people around did warned me of every single thing (that I already knew actually). It was quite annoying sometimes because I did felt like people around were underestimating my general knowledge.

Tell me what, I'd been working in a legal firm for four years and during my first year, my colleague was pregnant with her first daughter. It was during 2011 when she actually shared some of her pregnancy experience with me. Since she was so kind to me, I did listened to all of her pregnancy experiences and I still remembered most of them. She was sincere enough for letting me to be prepared once I got married. Once she delivered her first baby, I was so glad to be treated like her daughter's blood related aunt. Since then, I have always asked about her daughter.

I considered myself as an independent woman. I love reading and looking for answers even though it was just a silly question. Mothers nowadays are very lucky to have access to all types of knowledge. We have the internet and public libraries as well as bookshops to access the varieties of information. I was wondering how my mom did survived without having to google for stuffs during her age. Somehow, my grandmother, my mother and all the women in their late 50s and 60s did survived in raising their children. I was so impressed!

So yeah, in this post, I had decided to share some of general information especially for soon-to-be-mother like me.

Placenta (or known as 'Uri Bayi' in my country)

Indeed, in Islam as well, it is recommended to bury it in a clean condition (as it is consider as part of human's organ/body)

See? I was like a 'pregnancy student'. Studying on pregnancy like I am going to an examination hall. Indeed, this is a real life examination and I want to pass it with flying colors! meh~

From my observation and personal experience, it is vital for us to read on something that we are not familiar with. By sharing these little information yet important, shall avoid a new mom like me for being afraid of anything. Awareness and afraid are two different things. Worrying is another thing. While ignorance is a lot different thing.

I'm here to enjoy my life experiences and watch how does it progress. It is impossible for a toddler to walk without falling, right? Life is all about learning progress no matter how old and young we are. (:
