This was my first experience visiting the baby expo, ever. I had never been to any baby expo in my whole entire life due to the fact that, I was not part of it. LOL. The only expo that I had ever been was the computer expo or also known as the IT Fair. By looking at the banner of an IT Fair, I was so happy - even though it was just to get a thumb drive. :D
So, yeah I am currently 34 weeks pregnant, it is the best time to have a visit to the baby expo. I was not really care about the organizer actually until my sister told me that there were varieties of organizer that launched the baby fair. In fact, I just read the signage of 'baby expo', 'baby fair' and so on.
I saw the advertisement on the road few weeks ago and I was attending my semester 11 class last weekend. I was just planning to go there and I was lucky enough to have a chance to go there since my lecturer did ended our class quite early by having us a group assignment to be done and to be submitted on the next day - so I decided to leave the class asap since my mind could not stop thinking on the baby expo. HAHA. (The struggle was real when we had to submit the assignments by that night - luckily we managed to submit it on time, yay!)
All about the Baby Expo :-
Title : Today's Baby Expo
Date : 23-24 September 2017
Time : 0900 - 2200
Venue : Mid Valley Exhibition Centre
Facebook : facebook.com/todaybabyexpo
Instagram : instagram.com/todays.baby.expo
Driving to Mid Valley was not easy for us on weekend since the parking lane was heavily traffic. After half an hour we managed to get a parking spot just few steps across the elevator. I saw an empty stroller box left in front of the elevator and whispering to myself, this was going to be a crazy deals. Fathers holding tons of diapers while mothers pushing their brand new strollers loaded with baby stuffs. I was just walk in gently because I already had listed out few things to complete my checklists!
Indeed, I saw lots of good bargain but I had to agree that, for someone like me, some of the baby stuffs there were quite expensive comparing to the store that I had surveyed - online and actual store. However, I was so happy to merely completed my checklists for few items in which, it was really a serious good bargain in the expo!
Let me share the items that we bought during the expo.
Baby bonnet/hat/cap
Manjaku Baby Mall, Melaka : around RM6 each (got my first eyelet bonnet)
Todays Baby Expo : RM5 each.
Face Washcloths
Autumnz online website : RM10 per pack (4 pieces) + additional postage RMxx + random designs
Todays Baby Expo : RM6 per pack (4 pieces) + I can choose the designs I want happily! (:
For the face washcloths, I was planning on converting baby napkins into small pieces washcloths since the material were quite the same - the muslin. I was planning to cut them into small pieces and had them sewed at the edge of every pieces. That way I could save a lot because the baby napkins cost around RM30 for 10 pieces and the fact that there were muslin fabric. Somehow, I was so happy to get those for only RM6 per pack!
Nursing Bra
Autumnz online website : RM17 each (non wired basic nursing bra) + postage fees + very limited sizes available!
Todays Baby Expo : RM15.30 each (non-wired basic nursing bra) + lots of sizes available
I was deleting the nursing bras in my checklists actually since I had bought some regular non-wired bras (not a nursing designated bras) but, since it was a very good deals here, so I was adding them to my checklists - again!
Nursing Bras extender
Autumnz online website : RM5 each + postage fees RMxx
Todays Baby Expo : RM3 each
Baby Wipes
Todays Baby Expo : RM15 (1 can 100 sheets + 1 refill 100 sheets + 1 refill 100 sheets = 300sheets)
Honestly, for the baby wipes, toiletries and all the liquids things, I was planning to buy them at the last few weeks of my pregnancy since there were liquids and buying them earlier might be dried out (for baby wipes) and far from manufacturing date - just in my imagination, it was bad for our skin. HAHA. Somehow, those pink baby wipes, without surveying much on those wipes price, I just grab them because there were cute and pink and pink and pink and plaid!
Baby bathnet
Online (Lazada, Shopee etc.) : RM20 something + postage fees RMxx
Todays Baby Expo : RM14.50
The baby bathnet was never in my checklist. I did wished for it but it was quite pricy and I do not think I really need one. However, when I asked the sales person for the price, I was thinking, maybe I could use some of this. So, I grab it too!
...
Once again - I am a happy pregnant lady (not so happy actually cause my baby bump is getting bigger)
So yeah, that was my first experience visiting a baby expo and my total spending was RM106.50 for 13 items (in pieces) or 6 items (by products).
...
Oh hey, the baby expo will be in Melaka, this weekend! HAHA. Should I have a second visit? I really hope so.

Wrote this around 5am cause it was hard for me to sleep as I was keep dreaming/thinking on delivering our baby and it was pretty scary. Will it be like pooping or such a serious bloody surgery or the worse case, ... hmm...
